Topics in Evolution: Speciation

Aims
To provoke the participants to view their work in biology in an evolutionary context.

Content
Lecture series by distinguished guests and teachers from the biology faculty on speciation with topics such as: species concepts, rapid speciation processes, adaptive radiation and hybridisation.

Prerequisites
Broad background in biology.

Teaching curriculum
One week at Rønbjerg Marine Station with about 15 hrs. of lectures, accompanying discussion sessions and discussions of the research projects of the students.

Additional remarks
This course in primarily organized for Ph.D. students and these will be given first priority in case of limited capacity. Teaching will be in English except in cases where the instructors and all participants are Danish speaking.
