Principles for welcoming new students to Aarhus University

At Aarhus University, we want all new students to

• feel welcome at AU and welcome to participate in all activities
• be invited to participate in a structured academic and social introduction

New students should not

• feel pressured to participate in activities which they find offensive or inappropriate

Alcohol

• Consumption of alcohol is not permitted before or during academic events
• No one should feel pressured to consume alcohol

These principles come into force as of 2017 commencement of studies.
