Deadline for applications

  • Credit modules in the springsemester:
    15 october - 5 december
  • Credit module in the fallsemester:
    15 april - 5 june

What is a credit module?

A credit module is a module or course you take in another subject than your main subject and that can replace compulsory or elective courses in your degree programme, i.e. you qualify for credit transfer.

A credit module is therefore not a course you take in addition to your degree programme. If you would like to take modules in addition to your degree programme, please contact the Secretariat for Continuing Education at Arts. and chech out your possibilities for continuing and futher education at the Faculty of Arts

What are the prerequisites for enrolment in a credit module?

The prerequisites for enrolment in a credit module are:

  • You must be enrolled in a higher education programme at a Danish educational institution
It is not a prerequisite that you have already enrolled in a degree programme at Aarhus University. The option of enrolment at a credit module is open to all who are enrolled as full-time students on a higher education programme at a Danish educational institution.

  • That credit for the module/course can be transferred.
The board of studies for your main subject must confirm that credit for the course can be transferred to your current degree programme and thereby replace a module in your current programme.
  • That you fulfill the admission requirements
You must fulfill the admission requirements which apply for the specific education class/course. It is the board of studies who examinate, if you have the educational level it takes to follow and participate, in the wanted course. You can find the admission requirements for both the bachelors programme and the masters
  • Bachelor
  • Master
  • That there are places available on the module in which you wish to enrol.
The board of studies for the subject offering the module determines whether there are places available and whether you have the necessary academic level to attend the instruction and participate in the examination in the requested module. Please note that there may be special rules for courses at 1st semester.
