Credit transfer programme (top-up)

STADS is up and running

STADS is once again up and running, and you can register for spring classes and exams. The registration deadline is Thursday 7 November at 23.59.

The Board of Studies for Economics and Business Administration has previously awarded 50/60 ECTS credits for courses in the Bachelor’s degree programme in Economics and Business Administration, based on a completed business academy education: either Marketing Economist or Finance Economist.

However, this practice is no longer valid. The Board of Studies cannot grant credits based on an entire education. Credit allocation must be based only on specific course elements.

TThe Board of Studies for Economics and Business Administration does not have a practice of granting credt for courses in the Bachelor’s degree programme in Economics and Business Administration, based on courses from business academy programmes. This is due to the following:

  • Business academy programmes are at a lower level (level 5) than the Bachelor’s degree programme in Economics and Business Administration (level 6). A bachelor’s degree is research-based, while a business academy education is theory- and practice-oriented.
  • In general, courses taken in an academy education do not have a sufficient level to qualify for credit in the Bachelor’s degree programme in Economics and Business Administration.
