Credit transfer programme (top-up)

The Board of Studies for Economics and Business Administration has previously granted 50/60 ECTS credits for courses in the Bachelor's program in Economics and Business Administration, based on a completed business academy education: Marketing Management or Financial Controller.

This practice is no longer applicable. The Board of Studies cannot grant credits based on an entire completed education. The granting of credits must be based on specific course elements.

You can apply for credit transfer based on previously passed courses, according to the study portal's guidelines.

If you wish to apply for credit transfer for courses you have passed in an business academy education, you should be aware of the following:

  • The business academy education Marketing Management and Financial Controller are at a lower level (level 5) than the Bachelor's program in Economics and Business Administration, HA (level 6). A Bachelor's program is a research-based education, whereas an business academy education is theory- and practice-oriented.
  • In general, courses taken in a business academy education program will not be at a sufficient level to grant credit transfer in the Bachelor's program in Economics and Business Administration. However, this will always be subject to a specific academic assessment.
  • The Board of Studies has increased documentation requirements for credit transfer applications based on courses from a lower-level program. This is to ensure that the course level is sufficient. The increased documentation requirement means that the Board of Studies requires a detailed course description, including the syllabus and lesson plan.
