Are you going abroad during your Bachelor's Degree Programme in Mechanical Engineering?

You have the opportunity to study abroad during your 6th semester of the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Mechanical Engineering

Please note that the Board of Studies generally grants an exemption from the requirement to register for the exam in the mandatory course M6BAC Preparation for Bachelor Project. This means you will not need to take the exam for this course, but you will still be enrolled in the course, and we expect you to follow the course online throughout the semester during your study abroad. It is crucial that you actively participate in the course so that by the start of the 7th semester, you have identified your bachelor project topic and potential project partners.

If you wish to continue with the Master of Mechanical Engineering, you must ensure that you meet the academic prerequisites required for admission to this master’s program.

In general, you are responsible for ensuring that you meet the admission requirements for the master’s program you may choose to pursue. These requirements may change, so you must ensure that you meet the requirements applicable at the time of admission.

Are you going abroad during your Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering?

You have the opportunity to go abroad on your 3rd semester of the Master's Degree Programme in Mechanical Engineering.

It is important that you have passed the mandatory courses and 50 ECTS credits of study line courses before your departure. If you are missing a few study line courses, it may be possible to have courses from abroad approved by the study board as study line courses, provided they correspond to existing study line courses.

We recommend that you have a plan for your Master Thesis before going on an exchange semester abroad.

What are the most valuable things you learned while abroad?

  • New way of thinking and different teaching environment (...) New international friends. Personal growth Learning or improving foreign language skills (English).

Universitat Politecnico di Catalunya, Bachelor's Degree Programme in Mechanical Engineering

  • Because Barcelona is such an international city, it was no problem finding friends and people to hang out with. Just be open, and join the different acitivities, and you will make friends in no time.'

Politecnico di Milano, Master of Mechanical Engineering

  • Milan is a nice city and the surroundings are excellent with mountains, lakes and culture all around it. The level of teaching at the university was in my experience a bit higher than in Denmark but if you follow the courses and prepare for the exam it is not too bad.
