First Friday seminar MIAU

First Friday Brown Bag series with Trine Grønbæk, Mette Lind Kusk, and Mikkel Rytter, Anthropology, Aarhus University.

This talk takes point of departure in the Velux-funded project Reorienting Integration, which follows Congolese refugee families that since 2021 have been resettled all over Denmark. The project explores how resettlement is experienced by the families and how municipalities meet the newly arrived families. As part of the project, anthropologist Trine Grønbæk has followed the young man, Onesime in his new life in a town in Jutland. We briefly present the overall research project, screen the film and have a Q&A session about refugee resettlement and the potentials of filmmaking in migration research.
