Introduction to Analytic Number Theory

In this course we shall consider questions like:
1. How many primes are less than n?
2. Given two coprime numbers a and n. How many primes are congruent to a modulo n?
3. In how many ways can a given positive number be written as a sum of positive numbers?
The questions themselves are interesting, but so are the methods used to answer them: they use techniques from the theory of functions (of a complex variable).
