About the Board of Studies

The Board of Studies is responsible for ensuring and developing the quality of the degree programmes. 

The board has an equal number of representatives from the academic staff and the students — meaning this is where you, as a student, can have a direct influence on your education.

Responsibilities of the Board of Studies

The Board of Studies is responsible for preparing proposals for academic regulations and amendments to existing regulations, ensuring the ongoing development of teaching, and following up on course evaluations.

In addition, the board contributes to developing strategies related to teaching, the study environment, quality assurance, course evaluation, academic development within the programme.

The Board of Studies also processes applications concerning:

  • exemptions
  • credit transfer
  • pre-approval of courses
  • exceptions to the academic regulations

Furthermore, in collaboration with the Head of Studies and the study administration, the Board of Studies plans the teaching and examination schedule for the programme.
