The course aims at providing participant a comprehensive knowledge on the physiological ecology of plants and an understanding of how plants are adapted to the environment in which they grow. The course comprises a series of lectures and seminars where the basic principles of plant adaptations, plant metabolism and resource utilisation will be discussed and related to the distribution of plants in nature. The participants will plan, conduct and write up an experimental study on a selected topic as an integrated part of the course.
