Contents
The goal of the course is to give the students basic knowledge and understanding of fundamental topics and results from the theory of probability.


The headlines are: probability spaces, conditional probabilities, independence, random variables, distributions, densities, simultaneous distributions, special distributions (binominal, Poisson, geometric, uniform, normal, exponential, gamma etc.), Chebychev's inequality, the law of large numbers, the central limit theorem, and Markov Chains.
Level: 1. year
Course period: One semester course
Teaching arrangement: 4 hours lectures and 3 hours problem session a week.
