Basic Molecular Biological Techniques

Basic Molecular Biological Techniques

Contents

The course should lead to a understanding the basal molecularbiological techniques based on the biochemical and biological background for the processes and enzymes. A number
of processes and techniques such as restriction systems, vector systems, cloning processes, polymerase chain reaction, screening techniques, nucleic acid sequencing, pro- and
eukaryotic expression of cloned DNA, array techniques, genome projects and bioinformatics will be taught.

Form and extent: 2 lectures and 3 teoretical classes (5 hours) each week all semester, laboratory practicals 1 week.

Requirements: Basic course in molecular biology.

Text-books
