Advanced Surface Plating (ASP) in located in biking distance from Aarhus University. ASP is fully owned by HydrogenPro in Norway. HydrogenPro produces large-scale alkaline electrolysis units in our factory in China (5.5MW, 7 m long, 2 m wide, 70 tons). At ASP we develop, manufacture and test next-generation high-efficient electrode materials for alkaline water electrolysis.

Advanced Surface Plating is the research department of HydrogenPro. We have research facilities enabling state-of-the-art development, characterization and performance evaluation of scalable electrode materials based on cheap and abundant materials. Our facilities include a fully equipped chemistry laboratory, an in-house SEM-microscope and testing facilities ranging from small half-cells, flow-cells to full cell stacks systems – from 1 cm2 to Ø60 cm electrodes.
We are a fast-growing company with more than 10 scientists and engineers in Højbjerg. During our first 2 years, we have initiated 3 Industrial PhD’s, 4 master projects and 4 bachelor projects.
ASP is looking for motivated students who are interested in participating in our R&D projects.
