Examination methods and formal requirements

Examination forms and requirements will vary according to your academic level and between the courses you take as part of your study programme. On the following pages, you will be able to find further information on the different examination methods and the different requirements.

You will find information on the course objectives and exam forms in the course descriptions in the AU course catalogue.

In your academic regulation you will find you will find information about the examination forms and rules for your degree programme.

You can also read about the general rules for examinations in the collection of internal rules for students at AU.

Please note that reexaminations in courses other than the bachelor's project and the master's thesis may be of another type than the ordinary examination. Hence, an oral ordinary examination may be conducted as a written reexamination and vice versa.
