Topics

What is a topic?

A topic is a self-chosen and independent task that differs from other courses in that there is no teaching in the course. You choose a topic that you find interesting. When you sign up for a topic, you must organise the project yourself and seek guidance. Along the way, you can receive feedback and guidance on the academic content from a supervisor from the Department of Economics and Business Economics. Your choice of supervisor must be in place before the registration period. You can write your topic individually or in groups of two students.

Registration and choice of supervisor

Before you register for a topic at the Student Self-Service (STADS) in the registration period for the spring and autumn semesters, respectively, you must have made an agreement with a relevant supervisor.

When you register for the course via STADS, you must also follow this link and complete the registration form. It is important that you fill out the form in order to complete your registration. If you want to write your topic in a group, only one group member must fill out the form and make sure to add the other group member.

You can find inspiration for your choice of supervisor in the list of thesis supervisors and suggested topics (2022).
