Help with information searches at AU Library

AU Library has a special offer to students of political science and social science.

If you are having trouble finding relevant literature for your Master’s thesis, or if you would like to enhance your information-seeking skills, we offer the following options:

  • If you are a group of five students or more, we would be happy to give you a two-hour workshop. In the workshop, we will focus on how to search for books and articles in the different databases, and we may also look at selected websites if needed. With a starting point in a specific case, we will focus on how to clarify specific academic concepts, how to use search terms, and provide technical tips for searching and choice of database. We will give a few short presentations, and afterwards, you will have time to work on your own topic. Here, we offer guidance and advice as needed.
  • We will be working with the most important databases within the field of social science - ProQuest, Scopus and Web of Science.
  • You can also “book” us for an hour where we offer to help you make searches for your topic in the relevant databases.

Contact: Send an email to one of AU Library's contact librarians for political science and social Science: Steffen Armstrong Gjedde, Kirsten Krogh Kruuse  or Mette Ahlers Marino

NOTE: The course corresponds to the courses offered by the library in connection with the Bachelor’s project.
