Reproductive Ecology of Flowering Plants - (Fieldcourse)

Aim

To provide the students with a detailed knowledge af methods and techniques used in plant reproductive research, emphasising pollination, dispersal and establishment.

Contents

The course is closely related to the course Reproductive Ecology of Flowering Plants, and participation in the field course is only possible after having passed this course. It deals with practical techniques used by pollination biologists and plant breeders. The programme is devoted to practical training and is concerned with a topic according to own choice. Participants are encouraged to work out their own schedule for a project, to carry out the project and to write a report hereof.

Extent and composition

3 hours introduction followed by lab.exercises equivalent to one weeks' full time work. Workhours are individual.

Compulsory programme

Lab.exercises, report and oral presentation of report.
